Judges' Chambers

Many judges believe the public misunderstands the courts and the work that judges do. Below you'll find presentations you can make to school and community groups that will clear up many of the misconceptions and help people understand the vital role of this branch of government. Most of these presentations have been developed by judges themselves. They've been given often, and they've been proven to work.

These are all very simple presentations that require little preparation on your part. They can be used for school classes or presentations to adults—they'll work with just about any audience.

We expect to be adding presentations, so please check back regularly to see new resources for you. And if you'd like to share a presentation that's worked particularly well, by all means send it to us for our consideration. We'd be happy to use it if we can. Presentations can be e-mailed to starosk@staff.abanet.org or sent to us at ABA Division for Public Education, 321 N. Clark St., 20th Fl., Chicago, IL 60610.
