| In Sierra Leone, the ABA Rule of Law Initiative coordinates training in adult learning techniques and trail advocacy skills for practitioners, using a train-the-trainers approach. |
By providing technical expertise on trial advocacy skills, law practice management, and substantive areas of the law, the ABA Rule of Law Initiative increases the professionalism and expertise of lawyers in transitional countries. Through its Legal Profession Reform Index, the ABA Rule of Law Initiative helps countries assess the progress of legal profession reform efforts. The ABA Rule of Law Initiative also helps associations of legal professionals, including special interest bar associations, to develop into sustainable organizations that are able to provide members with legal training and that advocate on behalf of members' interests.
