Taxi Information

Taxis are abundant in Chicago and can easily be flagged down on the street or in front of the hotel. Fares within the downtown area should run no more than $6-10. If you need to call a cab, Yellow Cab can be reached at 312-829-4222.

A taxi to or from O'Hare International Airport is approximately $35.00 and to or from Midway Airport is approximately $27.00. These prices will vary with traffic.

Parking Information

Valet parking is available at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers on a first-come/first-serve basis.  The rates vary from $17.00 for less than an hour to $36.00 from 12-24 hours.  As an alternative, there are several self-parking garages located near the Hotel which include: Ogden Plaza, River East (North Pier) Central, Cityfront Mid-Rise and Cityfront High-Rise.

Ogden Plaza Self-Parking (connected to the Hotel via an enclosed walkway) rates are less than 1 hour $13.00 and $25.25 for 9-24 hours.

Driving Directions

From O'Hare International Airport

  • Distance from hotel: 18 miles
  • Drive time: 45 minutes
  • Directions: Follow signs for I-190 EAST. Take I-190 to I-90 EAST. I-90 will merge with I-94. Take 1-90/94 approximately 18 miles to CONGRESS PARKWAY. Exit CONGRESS PARKWAY East. Drive 1/4 mile on CONGRESS, Turn RIGHT on MICHIGAN AVE. The hotel is 3 blocks down on the right.

From Midway Airport

  • Distance from hotel: 12 miles
  • Drive time: 25 minutes
  • Directions: Take I-55 North to Chicago. Go North on LAKESHORE DRIVE. Turn Left on BALBO. Take BALBO for 2 blocks. The hotel will be on the left.

Hotel Parking

The Hilton Chicago has a secured covered garage. Self parking is available for $41 per day. Valet parking is available for $45 per day with in and out access.

 

Taking the "EL" Trains

From Midway Airport

  • Take the CTA Orange Line Train (Orange Line - Clockwise)
  • Get off at the State/Van Buren CTA Station
    • Bus: Transfer to CTA Bus #6 Jackson Park Express Southbound; Get off at Balbo & Michigan; Walk south to 720 S. Michigan
    • Walk: 0.4 miles southeast to 720 S. Michigan Ave.

From O'Hare International Airport

  • Take CTA Blue Line Train (Blue Line - Southbound)
  • Get off at Lasalle Street CTA Satation
  • Walk: 0.6 mile southeast to 720 S. Michigan Ave.
